Andrews AFB 200 New Homes and 215 Renovated Homes Air Mobility Command East, otherwise known as AMC East, is a partnership formed between Clark Realty and the Department of the Air Force. This is a six-year development project that will provide 200 new residential units, 215 renovated residential units, and one historic renovation at Andrews Air Force Base. The first phase of construction will replace 198 dilapidated duplex units along Perimeter Road with 134 new duplex and single-family homes. AMC East Communities anticipates completing the first phase of new construction in the Fall of 2009. The housing design calls for upgraded amenities, spacious floor plans, and special features, such as increased storage space, designed specifically for Air Force families. The development plan also includes building a number of neighborhood amenities, such as tot lots, picnic areas, pool, and neighborhood centers, designed to increase camaraderie and foster interaction between neighbors. This is Clark Realty's first endeavor under the Air Force's Housing Privatization program. Building Green at Andrews AFB >> PROJECT DATA
